Chicken Fat

He created the visual sensibility of MAD Comics with some of the funniest cartoon images of the last half of the twentieth century. His satirical perspective helped build the foundation that became ingrained in American comedy. Will Elder is a largely unknown artist/comedian whose influence and inspiration flow in the bloodstream of comedy writers, producers, actors and comedians today. Chicken Fat: is what he called all the visual gags he added in the background that became the template for MAD’s visual style. It is the legacy of Will Elder.
